***ANOTHER WAY TO EARN MONEY FOR BAND FEES & THE PHILLY/NY TRIP***
 
We have the opportunity to work in the concession stands at Lucas Oil Stadium for not only Colts football games but a wide variety of other events being held there. I have added all the information needed for this in Charms. Once you log in to Charms, click on HANDOUTS & FILES, then click on FUNDRAISING. There you will see 3 files, 2017-2018 Lucas Oil Concession Dates, Lucas Oil Training & Lucas Oil Quiz. 
 
You must be at least 16 years old to work and 18 years old to be a cashier. Adults must apply for a liquor permit. Here is the link for that: https://secure.in.gov/atc/2409.htm
You only need the $15 volunteer permit. Make sure you print the receipt, this will be used as your permit until the real on comes in the mail.
Also, you must complete the Indiana Server Training Program and print the certificate. You will be asked if you want to take the training after you complete the online application for the liquor permit.
 
Hourly events pay at $11.50/hour and the commission events (usually Colts games) have a minimum pay usually around $70, but generally the workers make between $12-$14/hour.
 
This is the first year we are doing this at Lucas Oil Stadium and I am organizing this through another NPO (non-profit origination). This is a great money-making opportunity for both students and their parents to help pay for any band/trip fees.
 
The rule of thumb is to arrive 2 hours before the event time EXCEPT Colts games, those are 4 hours before game time since the gates open two hours before kickoff.
 
They are trying to get people together to work some stands for the Primerica Bi-Annual Conference (I believe that's an insurance company).
 
Now, the leader training for the 2018 season is not until August 5th, so the leader of the other NPO won't have any updates until that day. Because of that, we will need to go through another training in August for this year. I will keep everyone updated when that will be.
 
If you plan on working any of the events, the training & quizzes MUST BE DONE & TURNED IN TO ME.

But please remember, this is the first time we are doing this and we are working with another well-established NPO that I might have to reach out to, so it might take a day or so before I can give you answers to your questions.

SCRIPS:
This is a great fundraiser because you can earn money on shopping you’re already planning on doing.    It doesn't cost you any extra!   Essentially you buy gift cards for the store or service you already plan on using.   It’s also perfect for those gift cards you need to buy for birthday/wedding/graduation gifts!  A percentage of your sale will go directly into your student’s individual account.   You have to enroll online.  Some stores have electronic gift cards that can be printed off and used immediately – others will have the traditional plastic cards and must be delivered.  Orders are filled and delivered to the school once per month.    Some cards can be reloaded online once the initial card has been received.  For instance, we’ve purchased a Speedway card with our monthly budget for gas.  We are able to reload this online as needed.   Now 4% of all of our gas money is helping with band fees!    For more information or to sign up, please visit http://www.shopwithscrip.com/index.aspx.     Our program code is:  6F47B8LE17153.

Effective January 2015: Monthly orders will be placed at noon on the 2nd Friday of each month. This should ensure delivery in time for the monthly Band Booster meetings.

Kroger Community Rewards gives money to the band!

Kroger has a super easy way for you to earn $$ for the Band programs!   All you have to do is register your Kroger card at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards.
 
Our organization name is listed under BAND BOOSTERS CLUB OF FRANKLIN CENTRAL H. S. INC. or our Number is 10100. Have your friends and family link their cards, too! It’s a onetime enrollment and then you don’t have to do anything else!
 
What we earn:
  • Kroger will pay up to $500,000 per cycle based on our percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending of all participating Kroger's Community Rewards organizations.
  • Kroger limits every cycle contributions to a maximum contribution of $500,000 to be distributed among all participating eligible organizations.
  • Kroger limits a participating organization's earned rewards to a maximum of $50,000 every cycle.
  • The minimum cycle payout is $25 per organization. In the event that an organization earns less than $25 in a cycle, Fry's will hold the amount until the next cycle that the reward exceeds $25 or until the end of the program term, whichever comes first.

During the first quarter of 2015, we had 15 Kroger Plus Cards used and we received a check for $320.69!!
